How do we know that we are chosen by God for salvation?

Answered in 3 sources

We know we are chosen by God through the testimony of Scripture, which states that God chose us in Christ before the foundation of the world (Ephesians 1:4).

The assurance of being chosen by God is provided by Scripture itself. Ephesians 1:4 tells us that God 'hath chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world.' This choice was made sovereignly, without any foresight of our actions or merits, thereby affirming that our election is based solely on God's will and purpose. Furthermore, 2 Thessalonians 2:13 states, 'God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation,' reinforcing the idea of God's sovereignty in salvation and making it clear that it is not dependent on human will but rooted in divine grace.
