How do we know that we are complete in Christ?

Answered in 4 sources

Believers are complete in Christ as affirmed in Colossians 2:10, signifying that His finished work fills us entirely.

Colossians 2:10 states, 'And you have been given fullness in Christ, who is the head over every power and authority.' This means that through faith in Jesus, we are made complete or filled to fullness. The Greek word 'pleroma', which is used here, highlights that there is nothing lacking in our relationship with Christ. Our completeness comes from His finished work at the cross. Unlike human religions that teach that something must be added to Christ's work, the gospel declares that believers need not seek additional completeness elsewhere. In Christ, we are made whole and perfect in the sight of God due to His accomplishment on our behalf.
