How do we know that we are dead to the law?

Answered in 1 source

We are declared dead to the law through our union with Christ's death.

Believers know they are dead to the law because of their union with Christ, as explained in Romans 7:4. By dying with Christ, they are considered dead to the law and no longer subject to its demands. This union enables them to live for God and bear good fruit. It signifies a transition from the old life under the condemnation of the law to a new life where they are justified and made holy through Christ’s sacrifice, fulfilling the law’s requirements perfectly on behalf of His elect.
