How do we know that we are free from sin in Christ?

Answered in 1 source

Our freedom from sin in Christ is confirmed through His sacrifice, as stated in Romans 5:21.

The assurance of freedom from sin in Christ is anchored in the understanding of His sacrificial death and the gift of grace. Romans 5:21 explains that just as sin once reigned in death, grace now reigns through righteousness. This signifies that believers have been liberated from the chains of sin due to Christ's atoning work. In believing that Christ bore our sins and guilt on the cross, we recognize that we are no longer held captive by sin's power. The continual work of the Holy Spirit further assures us of this freedom, producing in us a desire to live righteously and to glorify God rather than indulge in sin.
