How do we know that we are free in Christ?

Answered in 3 sources

Believers are free in Christ because they are no longer under the curse of the law and are liberated from sin's dominion.

The freedom of a believer in Christ is grounded in the work of Jesus who redeemed us from the curse of the law (Galatians 3:13) and freed us from sin's dominion (Romans 6:14). Through His sacrificial death and resurrection, Christ has delivered His people from the penalty of sin and the fear of death. In 1 Corinthians 7:22, Paul articulates that being called a servant in the physical realm does not bind the believer; rather, they are spiritually free to serve God. The Apostle emphasizes that this freedom means liberation from sin and the law's condemnation, allowing believers to live under grace and actively pursue faithfulness to their calling. This freedom is a profound aspect of the believer's identity in Christ that fosters a life of service and devotion irrespective of worldly status.
