How do we know that we are God's sheep?

Answered in 1 source

We know we are God's sheep by hearing His voice and following Him, as stated in John 10:27.

The identity of God's sheep is marked by their ability to hear and respond to the voice of Jesus Christ. In John 10:27, Jesus declares, 'My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.' This relationship is characterized by recognition and obedience—His sheep are those who respond to His call. Furthermore, the assurance that we are among His sheep brings comfort, for as He knows us, we can rest in the truth that we are eternally secured in His love. The way we respond to His calling reflects our belonging to Him, indicating that we are indeed His chosen people.
