How do we know that we are joined to Christ?

The assurance of being united to Christ comes from recognizing that this union is not by human effort, but by the sovereign will of God. Just as a husband and wife become one flesh (Mark 10:8), believers are spiritually united with Christ. Ephesians 5:31-32 draws a parallel between marriage and the relationship between Christ and His church, indicating that believers are made one with Christ through God's intervention. This spiritual intimacy assures them of their position in Him, and nothing can separate them from His love or grace. Thus, their identity and destiny are inextricably tied to Christ, affirming the deep assurance of salvation.
