How do we know that we are kept by the power of God?

According to 1 Peter 1:5, believers are 'kept by the power of God through faith.' This means that our faith itself is a gift from God, ensuring that true believers will persevere to the end. Hebrews 10:38 reinforces this idea, stating that the just shall live by faith, with no pleasure in those who draw back.
