How do we know that we are made righteous in God's eyes?

Answered in 1 source

We are seen as righteous in God's eyes through the imputed righteousness of Christ to believers.

Believers are justified and regarded as righteous because of their union with Christ. Romans 3:22 states that the righteousness of God is through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. This means that God looks at us through the lens of Christ's perfect righteousness, accepting us as if we had never sinned because of His sacrificial atonement. As such, the righteousness we possess is not our own but is gained through faith alone, leading to our eternal security and hope, as stated in Ephesians 1:4-5, which speaks of God's choice of us in Him before the foundation of the world.
