How do we know that we are no longer under the law as believers?

Answered in 1 source

Believers are no longer under the law because they are dead to it through Christ's sacrifice, as stated in Romans 7:4.

The believer's relationship to the law has fundamentally changed with Christ's fulfillment of the law. Romans 7:4 says that believers are dead to the law through the body of Christ, which means they are no longer bound by its demands. Instead, they are to live by the grace of God that teaches them to deny ungodliness and pursue righteousness (Titus 2:11-12). The law served as a schoolmaster to guide believers to Christ, but after faith has come, they are no longer under its authority. This shift emphasizes the transformative work of grace in the life of a believer, making them new creatures in Christ.
