How do we know that we are not under the law?

Answered in 2 sources

We understand that we are not under the law through the ministry of grace and the death of Christ, as explained in Galatians 2:19-20.

According to Galatians 2:19-20, Paul states, 'For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God.' This means that through Christ's redemptive work, believers have been freed from the law's jurisdiction. The moment one is united with Christ in His death, they are considered dead to the law. Consequently, being alive in Christ allows believers to embrace the grace that liberates them from the requirements of the law, allowing them to live out their faith without condemnation.
