How do we know that we are part of the elect?

You can know you are part of the elect by examining your faith and reliance on Christ (1 Corinthians 1:26).

In 1 Corinthians 1:26-29, Paul clarifies that God's choice of the elect is based on His sovereign grace, choosing not the wise or powerful, but the foolish and weak. This does not depend on personal merit but on God's purpose and calling. Those who recognize their own spiritual poverty and cry out to Christ for salvation demonstrate signs of being among the elect. Therefore, a humble, trusting heart turned toward Christ is key to understanding one's status as part of the elect.
