How do we know that we are partakers of the divine nature?

Answered in 3 sources

We know we are partakers of the divine nature because Scripture assures us that through Christ, we have escaped the corruption of the world and received His promises.

According to 2 Peter 1:4, believers have been granted exceeding great and precious promises that allow them to partake in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world. This transformation signifies a radical shift in identity and status before God, whereby we are enabled by His power to live righteously. The assurance of our new nature is also a promise of preservation and eternal life through faith in Christ, which is foundational to the Reformed understanding of salvation and sanctification.
