How do we know that we are partakers of the inheritance of the saints?

Answered in 1 source

We are assured of our inheritance through God's choice and work in our lives, as outlined in Scripture.

Colossians 1:12 states that God has made us partakers of the inheritance of the saints. This inheritance is described in 1 Peter 1:3-4 as incorruptible and reserved in heaven for those who are kept by God's power. Our adoption into God's family, where we become co-heirs with Christ, is not based on our merit but solely on God's mercy and grace. Additionally, Deuteronomy 6 shows that our inheritance from God is something we've not earned, but rather received through His providential love. Thus, faith in God's promises confirms our status as partakers of this divine inheritance.
