How do we know that we are sanctified in Christ?

Answered in 3 sources

Believers are sanctified in Christ through His sacrifice and chosen by God before the foundation of the world.

The doctrine of sanctification assures us that believers are set apart by God in Christ. In 1 Corinthians 1:2, Paul refers to the Corinthians as 'sanctified in Christ Jesus,' indicating their status as holy because of their union with Him. This sanctification is not dependent upon their actions or spiritual maturity but is a result of God's electing grace. As stated in Ephesians 1:4, believers were chosen in Christ before the world's foundation to be holy and without blame. This divine election emphasizes that sanctification is a persistent reality for all true Christians, irrespective of their struggles with sin.
