How do we know that we are truly holy?

Answered in 1 source

Believers are considered holy because they are made holy in Christ through His work.

Holiness in believers is fundamentally linked to their identity in Christ. According to the Apostle Paul, believers are sanctified and set apart for God's purposes. This positional holiness is not contingent on our actions but is grounded in the sacrificial work of Jesus Christ. In Colossians 3:12, Paul encourages us to put on the new man as the elect of God, which reflects our holy status in Christ. Though we recognize our sinful nature, God sees us as holy because of Jesus' righteousness imputed to us. This transformative process begins at regeneration, where believers are made new creations in Christ and are intended to reflect His holiness in their lives.
