How do we know that we are under grace and not the law?
Answered in 2 sources
Believers are assured they are under grace because they have died to the law through Christ and are now living in the newness of the Spirit.
According to Romans 6:14, 'For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.' This means that believers are not ruled by the law's demands but live in the freedom of grace given by Christ. Paul explains that their relationship with the law has ended as they have died to it in Christ's crucifixion. This liberation enables them to serve God not through trying to obey the law but through love, which is the essence of their new life in the Spirit. Their actions are motivated by love rather than legal obligation, affirming their status as recipients of grace.
