How do we know that we have a right beginning in faith?

The concept of a right beginning in faith is vital for ensuring that one is truly saved. It involves a genuine encounter with Christ, wherein an individual recognizes their own sinfulness and their need for repentance. Jesus states, "You must be born again" (John 3). This rebirth is initiated by God and results in faith that will endure. A true believer will live in accordance with God’s Word, recognizing their continual need for His mercy and grace. If one's faith lacks the evidence of transformation and reliance upon Christ, it may indicate a false beginning.
