How do we know that we have gifts from God?

Answered in 1 source

The presence of spiritual gifts in believers is evidenced by their unique abilities and contributions to the body of Christ in accordance with God's grace (Romans 12:6-8).

In Romans 12:6-8, Paul discusses the various gifts given to members of the church, emphasizing that each Christian has been endowed with unique gifts according to the grace given to them. These gifts include prophecy, service, teaching, exhortation, giving, leadership, and acts of mercy. Our awareness of these gifts often comes through our engagement in the community of faith, where we experience and recognize how God works through us for the mutual edification of one another. Understanding that these gifts are given by grace inspires humility and appreciation for the diverse roles that each member plays in the body of Christ.
