How do we know that we need righteousness?

We know we need righteousness because Scripture reveals that there is none righteous, not even one (Romans 3:10). This underscores the fallen state of humanity and the inability to meet God's standard through self-righteousness. The acknowledgment of our spiritual sickness is crucial; Jesus stated that He came to call sinners to repentance, not the righteous.
