How do we know that we should pray for one another?

Answered in 1 source

Scripture encourages us to pray for one another, as stated in 1 Samuel 12:23, indicating that it is a sin to cease praying for others.

The Bible provides clear teaching on the importance of intercessory prayer for one another. In 1 Samuel 12:23, it says, 'Moreover, as for me, God forbid that I should sin against the Lord in ceasing to pray for you.' This verse highlights that prayer for others is not only a responsibility but a necessary part of our fellowship and spiritual life. As believers, we should share each other's burdens through prayer, giving thanks and interceding for one another consistently, both before and after coming to faith.
