How do we know that we will be rewarded in heaven?

Answered in 1 source

Believers are assured of their reward in heaven based on God's promises and Christ's work on their behalf.

The promise of reward in heaven is rooted in the grace of God and the redemptive work of Jesus Christ. According to Revelation 2:10 and James 1:12, the Scriptures assure us that those who remain faithful will receive the crown of life. This faithfulness is not about human merit but rather a demonstration of the grace that sustains believers through trials. The doctrine of eternal security reassures us that those who are genuinely in Christ will persevere to the end and thus inherit the promised rewards. Our acceptance before God relies solely on Christ's righteousness, not on our own works.
