How do we know that work is part of God's design?

Work was instituted after mankind's fall, as noted in Genesis 3:17-19, which outlines the consequences of Adam's disobedience. It establishes that labor is integral to human existence and divine order. Ephesians 6 further instructs believers on how to conduct themselves in their roles, whether as workers or employers, reminding them that they serve Christ in all their efforts. Understanding work as a divinely ordained responsibility gives us a framework to view our daily tasks as opportunities to honor God.
