How do we know the blood of Christ is effective for salvation?

Answered in 3 sources

The blood of Christ is effective for salvation as it serves as the perfect sacrifice that fulfills God's justice and redeems His people from sin.

The effectiveness of Christ’s blood for salvation is rooted in its nature as a perfect and sufficient sacrifice. Unlike the blood of bulls and goats, which were mere copies, Christ’s blood was offered once for all, effectively dealing with sin and securing a new covenant (Hebrews 9:26). The Scripture states that He appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself (Hebrews 9:26), and as our mediator, His sacrifice guarantees the promised eternal inheritance to those who are called (Hebrews 9:15). This demonstrates that salvation is not merely an offer but is accomplished through the effective work of Christ and applied to the elect, who are chosen in Him.
