How do we know the call to preach is urgent?

In the encounter described in Luke 9:59-60, Jesus commands a man to 'follow me' but the man hesitates, asking for time to bury his father. Jesus responds, 'Let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the kingdom of God' (Luke 9:60).
