How do we know the calling of God is true?

Answered in 1 source

God's calling is true as it is confirmed by Scripture and experienced in the life of the believer.

The truth of God's calling is affirmed through both the written Word and personal experience. Paul distinguishes between the general call, which everyone hears, and the effectual call that brings individuals to faith. In Ephesians, he reassures believers that their faith is a result of this specific divine calling. This effectual or irresistible calling guarantees that those called will indeed come to faith. Furthermore, Scripture reinforces the security of this calling, as indicated in Romans 8:30 where Paul writes that those whom God predestines, He calls, justifies, and glorifies. This assurance that accompanies the calling is experienced in the transformation of the believer's life.
