How do we know the church is made up of true believers?

Answered in 2 sources

The church consists solely of true believers, God's elect who have been redeemed and called to faith.

The church that Christ loves is composed only of true believers, those who have experienced genuine conviction of sin and have repented in faith. This is supported by the teaching that all members of the church are not just attendees of a local assembly but true members of the spiritual body of Christ. Romans 8:34 emphasizes that it is only those who have been justified through Christ's sacrifice who are a part of His church. Thus, the church is not merely a visible organization but a spiritual entity made up of God's elect who have been cleansed and sanctified in Christ.
