How do we know the Church will endure according to the Bible?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible assures us that the Church will endure because it is built on Christ, and the gates of hell will not prevail against it.

The assurance of the Church's endurance is deeply rooted in the promises of Scripture. As outlined in Matthew 16:18, Jesus declares that He will build His Church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it, signifying His divine protection and sovereignty over His people. This promise is foundational for Christians, affirming that despite external threats and internal struggles, the Church is secure in Christ.

Furthermore, in Ephesians 3:21, it is also declared that God's glory will be manifested in the Church through all generations. This not only emphasizes the eternal nature of the Church but also serves as a reminder of the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit in preserving and strengthening the Church throughout history. Members of the Church can find great comfort in this promise, knowing their faith and existence in the Church are part of God's eternal plan.
