How do we know the covenant of grace is better than the law?

Answered in 1 source

The covenant of grace is better than the law because it ensures mercy and establishes a personal relationship with God through Christ.

The covenant of grace, as presented in Hebrews 8, is contrasted with the old covenant which was based on law and resulted in judgment for failure to comply. The new covenant promises that God's laws will be written in our hearts, allowing us to have a direct, personal relationship with Him. This covenant is mediated by Christ, who is the fulfillment of all the law and the perfect sacrifice, allowing us to receive mercy and not condemnation. Thus, through grace, we are empowered to live for God, free from the burden of the law's demands.
