How do we know the doctrine of Christ's deity is true?

Answered in 10 sources

Christ's deity is affirmed in Scripture through His preeminence, His fulfillment of Old Testament prophecies, and His divine authority.

The doctrine of Christ's deity is foundational to understanding His role as our Savior. John 1:18 states, 'No man has seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, He hath declared Him.' Jesus Christ reveals all that God is—all God's attributes and glory—because in Him, the fullness of the Godhead dwells. This is further reiterated in Colossians 2:9, which affirms the divine nature of Christ. His incarnation, life, and sacrificial death exemplify His true Godhood, as only God could accomplish the redemptive work required for humanity's salvation.
