How do we know the doctrine of generosity is true?

Answered in 1 source

Generosity is rooted in the principle that all we have is a gift from God, which we are called to share for His glory.

Generosity stems from the understanding that everything we possess comes from God’s hand. As David articulated in 1 Chronicles 29, we are merely returning what has been entrusted to us for God's service. The scriptures teach that those who have received much are expected to give much in return, demonstrating the sincerity of their love for the gospel. This principle is echoed throughout the Bible, reinforcing that our wealth should be used to support the kingdom of God and assist those in need, as true worship involves the stewardship of our resources.
