How do we know the doctrine of God not seeing sin in His people is true?

Answered in 1 source

The doctrine is supported by scripture, particularly in God's promises and the atonement of Christ that covers our sins.

The assurance that God sees no sin in His people is deeply rooted in the nature of God's justice and His promises in Scripture. For instance, Isaiah 43:25 states, 'I, even I, am He that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins.' When God looks at His elect, He sees them as righteous because their sins have been imputed to Christ, who bore them on the cross. This foundational truth is also echoed in Ephesians 1:3-4, where believers are described as chosen to be holy and blameless before God. The righteousness of Christ is credited to the believer, ensuring that, from the perspective of God's justice, no sin is seen.
