How do we know the doctrine of God's faithfulness is true?

Answered in 1 source

God's faithfulness is demonstrated through His unbreakable covenant promises and fulfilled in the work of Christ.

The doctrine of God's faithfulness is rooted in His nature and the promises He has made throughout Scripture. Psalm 89 emphasizes that God's covenant will not fail; He declares, 'My covenant will I not break' (v. 34). This assurance is crucial because it means that our salvation and all of God's promises are grounded in His perfect integrity and unwavering character. Moreover, we see this faithfulness exemplified in the life and work of Jesus Christ, who fulfills the covenant of grace by His perfect obedience and sacrificial death. As Hebrews 2:16 states, Jesus came to be the faithful High Priest, demonstrating that God keeps His promises.
