How do we know the eternal security of believers is true?

Answered in 1 source

Eternal security is grounded in the promise of Christ who grants eternal life that cannot be lost.

The eternal security of believers is affirmed by Christ's declaration that He gives eternal life to His sheep, asserting they shall never perish. This assurance is rooted in the sovereign grace of God, who preserves His elect unto salvation. When God adopts us into His family and grants us the new birth, He assures us that our salvation is not contingent upon ourselves but upon His unchanging covenant. Thus, the believer's hope lies in the finished work of Christ, which secures our position before God forever (Romans 8:30).
