How do we know the existence of God’s righteousness?

Answered in 1 source

God's righteousness is revealed in His law and through the sacrifice of Jesus, who met the demands of justice on our behalf.

The existence of God's righteousness is evident through Scripture, where it is described as essential for salvation. Romans 3:10 states, 'There is none righteous, no, not one,' indicating the need for a perfect righteousness that we do not possess. God's righteousness demands satisfaction for sin, which is fulfilled through Christ's atonement. Jesus Christ, our propitiation, is the embodiment of God's righteousness as He bore the sins of His people and imputed His righteousness to them. Therefore, understanding God's righteousness involves recognizing the character of God as just and merciful, as well as the fulfillment of His justice in the sacrifice of Christ.
