How do we know the fellowship we have is true?

Answered in 1 source

True fellowship is founded on the cleansing blood of Jesus Christ and a shared faith in Him as Lord.

The authenticity of our fellowship with one another and with God is ensured through the redemptive work of Christ, which cleanses our sins and opens the way for true communion. As outlined in 1 John 1:5-7, if we walk in the light—acknowledging our sin and the cleansing power of Christ's blood—we can have authentic fellowship with God and each other. This fellowship is not based on external factors but is a spiritual connection arising from a shared understanding of our need for grace and redemption, and is confirmed through love and mutual support within the body of believers.
