How do we know the fruit of the Spirit is genuine?

The Apostle Paul describes the fruit of the Spirit as attributes such as love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance (Galatians 5:22-23). These qualities cannot be legislated or commanded, as they spring from a heart transformed by God's grace. When believers are truly living by the Spirit, these attributes will naturally manifest in their lives, evidencing that they are under the influence of the Holy Spirit. This spiritual fruit stands in stark contrast to the works of the flesh, serving as an indicator of one's spiritual condition and relationship with Christ.
