How do we know the glory of the gospel is greater than the law?

Answered in 1 source

The glory of the gospel exceeds the glory of the law because it brings life and righteousness rather than death and condemnation.

The Apostle Paul contrasts the glory of the gospel with that of the law in 2 Corinthians 3. He notes that while the ministry of the law had its glory, it ultimately brought death and condemnation. In contrast, the gospel of grace, which is the ministry of the Spirit, brings life and righteousness — a much greater glory. This new covenant offers believers freedom and communion with God, revealing the character and glory of Christ who fulfills the law on our behalf. The grace bestowed upon believers through the gospel signifies a transformational glory that surpasses the temporary glory of the Old Covenant, thus providing hope and life eternally for those who believe.
