How do we know the Goodness of God's plan in Christ's departure?

Answered in 1 source

We know it is good because Jesus' departure was necessary for our salvation and the sending of the Holy Spirit (John 16:7).

In John 16:7, Jesus explains that it is 'expedient' for Him to go away, as His departure was essential for our redemption and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. His sending the Comforter ensures that believers have divine assistance in their spiritual journey. Christ’s ascension allows Him to mediate for us in heaven, fulfilling the promise of eternal life, forgiveness, and reconciliation with God. Hence, His departure ultimately signifies a profound act of love and grace for His elect.
