How do we know the gospel is a source of hope?

Answered in 1 source

The gospel brings hope by declaring that God is sovereign and will overcome all enemies, providing assurance to believers.

The gospel is fundamentally a message of hope, as it proclaims God's sovereignty and the future victory He promises to His people. In Revelation, particularly amidst descriptions of trials and tribulations, the early churches are reassured that despite the overwhelming forces against them, God remains in control and will emerge victorious. This assurance that God orchestrates events for His glory and the good of His people fosters hope within the community of believers, affirming that no matter their current suffering, ultimate redemption rests in His sovereignty and faithful promises.
