How do we know the gospel is about what Christ did for us?

Answered in 1 source

The gospel is fundamentally about what Jesus Christ accomplished for humanity, rather than what individuals do for Him.

The essence of the gospel resides in understanding it as a proclamation of what Christ has done for us. It is not merely a command to believe, but a declaration of good news about the person and work of Jesus. In teaching the young people, I highlighted that the gospel encompasses Christ's incarnation, life, death, and resurrection, all serving as the basis for our salvation. It is vital that believers recognize that salvation does not stem from their works or decisions but from Christ's perfect righteousness and sacrificial atonement. Thus, we stand justified before God solely because of Christ's redemptive actions.
