How do we know the Gospel is better than the Law?

Answered in 1 source

The Gospel is shown to be better than the Law through its emphasis on grace and the blessings believers receive as part of the new covenant.

The author of Hebrews carefully contrasts the old covenant, represented by Sinai, with the new covenant embodied in Christ. The horrifying aspects of the Law, such as its demands and the accompanying judgment, are contrasted with the peace, joy, and blessings found in the Gospel. By focusing on the privileges available through Christ, including reconciliation with God and access to heavenly blessings, the superiority of the Gospel is made evident. Believers are called to recognize that their hope and standing before God are founded solely on Christ’s finished work, not on their adherence to the Law.
