How do we know the gospel is effective in a hostile environment?

Historical accounts, including those found in Acts, demonstrate how the early church thrived amidst persecution, with many coming to faith despite adversity. The faithful proclamation of the gospel will always yield fruit according to God's sovereign plan, as He is in control of creating willing hearts that respond in faith.
