How do we know the gospel is God's gospel?

Answered in 1 source

We know the gospel is God's gospel because it gives Him all the glory in salvation and fulfills the Old Testament scriptures.

The assurance that our gospel aligns with God’s gospel is founded on several truths. First and foremost, it attributes all glory to God in salvation, as we are told in 1 Corinthians 1:30 that Christ is our wisdom, righteousness, sanctification, and redemption. Additionally, the gospel we preach must fulfill the Old Testament scriptures, as demonstrated by Paul who emphasizes that his message is rooted in the prophecies and types found throughout the scriptures. This gospel also allows God to be both holy and just, as it provides Christ as our perfect representation before Him. It is a gospel that not only saves us but upholds the holiness of God.
