How do we know the Gospel is of God?

Answered in 1 source

We know the Gospel is of God when He illuminates our hearts with His truth.

Understanding that the Gospel is of divine origin comes from the illumination of the Holy Spirit. In the sermon, it is highlighted that when God delivers a sinner from spiritual darkness, they come to know the truth of the Gospel. John 7:17 states, 'If anyone wills to do His will, he shall know concerning the doctrine, whether it is from God or whether I speak on My own authority.' This indicates that true understanding is tied to a heart that has been awakened by God's grace. Hence, when the Gospel shines into a dark heart, it reveals its divine source and truth.
