How do we know the grace of God is true?

Answered in 4 sources

The grace of God is demonstrated through the righteousness of Christ, which is the foundation for true salvation, not of works.

The reality of God's grace is intertwined with His righteousness, as evidenced in Romans 5:21, where grace reigns through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ. This grace is not merely a leniency towards sinners but is rooted in the perfect life and atoning death of Jesus, the great high priest. By taking upon Himself the sins of His people and providing a perfect righteousness, Christ establishes the validity of grace as a free gift, contrasting with the false gospel that suggests a blend of works and grace. True grace acknowledges that our salvation is wholly reliant on God's action, not ours.
