How do we know the greatness of God is unsearchable?

Answered in 1 source

The greatness of God is unsearchable because He is infinite, and His majesty and works surpass human understanding.

In Psalm 145, David declares, 'Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised, and his greatness is unsearchable' (Psalm 145:3). This statement reflects the reality of God's infinite nature; He is beyond full comprehension or evaluation by finite minds. As we come to better understand His attributes through Scripture, we recognize that God's essence and works continually reveal new depths of understanding. Even in eternity, as we stand in His presence, we will never exhaust the knowledge of God, as He is eternally incomprehensible. This understanding instills a sense of awe and reverence, compelling us towards worship and leading us to share His mighty acts with future generations.
