How do we know the Holy Spirit is still active in the church today?

Answered in 1 source

The Holy Spirit continues to work actively in the church today, fulfilling God's purpose and empowering believers for ministry.

The active presence of the Holy Spirit in the church today can be seen through the continued work of God in the lives of believers and the collective ministry of the church. As outlined in Acts 1 and 2, the Holy Spirit descended upon the apostles, equipping them to preach the gospel and perform miracles. This same Spirit remains with the church today, empowering its members to witness and effectuate change, as believers seek His anointing and filling for effective ministry. The Spirit does not cease to be active based on circumstances or societal conditions; rather, He works in and through His people to fulfill the divine purpose of God.
