How do we know the Holy Spirit is working in our lives?

The activity of the Holy Spirit in our lives is evidenced by the way He glorifies Christ. When we find our hearts drawn to Christ, our understanding of His grace deepens, and we begin to see Christ's glory reflected in His works and His word. The Spirit’s work includes enlightening our minds and convicting our hearts, enabling us to see Christ's sufficiency as our Savior. If a ministry or comfort does not point us to Christ or glorify Him, it can be suspected that it does not come from the Holy Spirit. Thus, the Spirit’s movement within us will always direct us towards worshiping and honoring Christ above all.
