How do we know the Holy Spirit supports us in suffering?

Answered in 1 source

The Holy Spirit is given to believers as a comforter and strengthener in times of suffering.

According to biblical teaching, the Holy Spirit is an integral part of the believer's experience, especially during times of suffering. Romans 8:26 demonstrates that the Spirit helps us in our weakness, interceding for us when we do not know how to pray. The Spirit strengthens our faith, enabling us to endure hardships and brings comfort knowing we are not alone in our struggles. Furthermore, as believers remain united with Christ, the Spirit continually works within them, shaping their character to resemble Christ, even amidst trials, as stated in 2 Corinthians 3:18.
